Application of Ultrasonic Waves in Powder Transportation

Abstract

Ultrasound technology has become an important aspect in material handling and machining. This paper describes the application of standing and traveling ultrasonic waves to transport powder and how they are useful in feeding, dosing and supplying small amounts of powder with high accuracy. Piezoelectric actuators are being used to generate the ultrasonic waves in various devices. These devices have presented a unique and simple means of transportation of powder
