SOFC hybrid system optimization using an advanced model of fuel cell

J. Milewski

Abstract

The advanced mathematical model of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) is presented. Electrochemical, thermal, electrical and flow parameters are collected in the 0D mathematical model. The aim was to combine all cell working conditions in the lowest number of readily determined factors possible. A validation process for various experimental data was made and adequate results are shown. The model was utilized for hybrid system parameters optimization. As a result, the optimum point of system operation is determined and commented. The influences of several factors are investigated.
